About Me!
I am from Colombia and my first language is Spanish. When I came to the United States, eight years ago, I learned the English language by taking ESL Classes at Collin County Community College. I am pursuing my EC-6 Bilingual Generalist degree at Texas A&M University-Commerce. I am a mother of a wonderful 16 year old girl. My passions are teaching young children, oil painting, and spending time with my husband and my daughter.
Why Teach?
I believe education is the key through which a child can open the door towards unlimited knowledge and understanding of the world around him or her. I want to make a difference in our own community by helping my students be successful in their lives and capable of contributing to the community by involving my students’ parents in their child’s learning process through direct and consistent communication.
